A few weeks ago, at the end of dance class, my instructor Catarina, lost a tiny screw from her glasses. She was almost at the point of tears.
Every woman in the class was on their knees, searching for the tiny, missing screw. And guess what?
Within sixty seconds, I found it.
The next week, it happened again. Catarina cursed herself for not just buying a new pair of glasses, and turned to me.
“Stephanie, I need your eyes.”
Once again, I found the missing screw almost instantly.
What Catarina doesn’t know is that my eyes aren’t so good at seeing tiny things these days. It wasn’t my eyes that helped me.
Would you like to know my secret?
I’ll tell you, if you promise not to think I’m crazy. (Okay, think whatever you want. I’ll tell you anyway.)
I asked the angels.
Then, I let go.
Somehow I knew just where to look.
If this happened once, you might be call it coincidence. But twice?
This happens to me all the time.
When something is misplaced or lost, I say, “Angels, please help me find it.” Then I stop looking. Sometimes I even forget about it, until a random urge sends me to the spot where the object is waiting.
Clearly there is some force at work. But what is it?
I’m not sure I believe in angels – although, why not? My dragons don’t mind the company. 🐲😉
I don’t think it’s magic.
It’s the power of making a clear ask, and then letting go.
I think of it like this:
Imagine a deep Well of Being, the source of all that is. You go drop in your wish, and it swirls down into the depths. Your job is done.
The Well will bring exactly what you need, including any actions to take, so you can stop searching.
The problem is, our little minds get so amped up trying to find the thing we want, that we stay stuck in the search. And if you’re searching for what’s lost, you’ll never find it.
Especially when it’s right under your nose.
This isn’t just about lost objects. It holds true with everything else in life.
In business, we’re taught to hustle, grind and push – but what if clarity and results come more easily when we ask, trust and relax into the flow?
Have you had an experience where things just worked out perfectly, without the struggle?
Leave a comment below. I’d love to hear your story.
Yours in love and play,
Steph
